Dia Y Noche

Location: Greendale, WI
Type: Hospitality
Located just off the historic main street of Greendale, this project renovates 3,000sf of nan existing building into a hospitality space that has quickly become a favorite of the community.  The existing building previously had numerous different uses over the years, but was originally constructed as a gas station.  The renovation gutted the interior for a fresh start.

Unique concept that juxtaposes a café space and restaurant space in one building.  Both spaces were designed to be compatible with each other yet have their own identity. Inspired by a market streetscape in Antigua Guatemala, the design uses bright and bold colors and structured canopies to imbibe the space with a feeling of sitting outside.  Abundant natural plantings that are included in planters throughout contribute to this feeling.
