Type: Hospitality Dan Beyer Architects designed the renovation and conversion of a 11,000 sf building located in downtown Milwaukee into a nationally owned, ghost kitchen company that provides multiple, small scale commercial kitchens to tenants large and small for expansion space for delivery customers and incubator kitchens for new businesses trying out a new concept.
The design had to accommodate the large mechanical units and ductwork distribution that was required because of the low floor to floor heights of the existing building, had to provide adequate storage space and prep space for the kitchens, and renovated the front lobby into a warm and inviting space that is a place for customers to pick up their food and eat in if desired. The project was fast paced and placed a high priority on having coordinated drawings between all disciplines that allowed the contractor to complete construction in less than 6 months. |
