Mandel Group’s new development is located directly adjacent to the popular West Allis Farmer’s Market.  As part of their residential development, Mandel is building a retail space that will cater to visitors of the Farmer’s Market with different restaurants and retail stores that serve artisan foods.  DBA has created the master plan for this retail development and is designing the new buildings.

Taking design cues from West Allis’ industrial past, the three buildings, comprised of a total of 14,000sf, have simple forms and an exterior of corrugated metal panels and exposed steel structure, a gesture that contributes to their authenticity and allows them to feel at home in this urban neighborhood.  The design connects the development with the Farmer’s Market across the street to create a pedestrian scaled series of outdoor spaces that are perceived as extensions of the market.
