Little Village Cafe

The Little Village Cafe was an idea that was conceived by a Mom who was looking for a space to hang out with her friends while her children had a safe and secure place to play. An empty storefront in an older building, located in the popular East Tosa neighborhood was the perfect place for this development.
DBA's design for this new space focused on providing a warm and welcoming cafe space filled with natural daylight.  This design highlighted the original components in the space to maintain the charm and authenticity of the space.  Exposing the original wood framing transformed the space adding depth and volume to the space.  

The new cafe service bar design used simple materials to bring an upscale but comfortable feeling to the space.   A half wall between the cafe and the play space allows parents to enjoy getting together while being able to keep one eye on their children enjoying the play space.
