Lincoln Center LobbyLocation: Milwaukee, WI
Type: Commercial F Street Development wanted to update the lobby of one of their new acquisition, Lincoln Center 1 in West Allis. The existing lobby was dark and uninviting, with heavy precast walls and a low ceiling. DBA’s design for the Lobby Renovation focused on creating a warm and inviting space with a contemporary look that would appeal to a wider section of the market.
In the design, DBA removed some of the precast walls to open up the tenant suites to the lobby. This brought more life into the lobby and creating a more accessible entry for the main first floor tenants. To bring more volume to the space, the ceiling defined the main access point at the elevator and created a void around this space to imply a taller space. Cherry wood looking accents were added to the elevator lobby wall, the ceiling at the elevator and at the entrances of the tenant suites to bring a warm and sophisticated look to the space. The design of the lobby led to an increased leasing of the first floor, with the floor going from 80% vacant to 90% full since completion. |
